My daughter is autistic and hates having anything/anyone touching her. There was one employee that told her he was autistic and it was nothing to be ashamed of. Because of him my daughter managed to do her sight test and also now doesn't feel like her autism is a burden and nothing is going to stop her from getting where she wants to go. All thanks to this one staff member taking the time to get to know her

Excellent eye care. The additional eye exam is worth a few extra pounds. It's best to know what going on inside your eyes and catch Macular Eye issues early. I found the staff to be very helpful and very friendly. I am elderly and not well. I was offered a glass of cool water by a member of staff who recognised I wasn't well. I have Macular Eye issues and I am pleased to say that thanks to the Specsavers optician, I am now receiving treatment. Waiting time was about 5 minutes. I arrived at peak rush time so I expected to wait. The staff were very patient with me and there was no attempt to rush me. Thank you, to the staff of Specsavers for a pleasant visit to your shop. 😊

I am really disappointed with my experience with Specsavers overall. Although my initial eye test was positive the sales team and Specsavers overall way of taking money from their customer is diabolical. I was quoted an extra £130 per of glasses for thinning of the frame for context my prescription is -7. I think this massively takes advantage of your customers who by no fault of their own have bad eyesight. I felt something was ‘off’ with the pricing in store and since I had a pair of glasses I had purchased previously from Specsavers that were brand new as I hadn’t used them I opted to have that pair used and just pay for the frames. This service was also not good as again there were extra costs and the sales team were not very helpful as they did not have any examples of the gradients of lens thinning so I was unable to make a educated judgement on what gradient to go for. After all of this the total cost to JUST have the lenses replaced in the existing frames I already owned was £80! I think this is absolutely disgusting and wrong of Specsavers. Feeling like I had been robbed, I decided to go to the local Asda opticians where it became clear that Specsavers are largely taking advantage of their customers as Asda lens thinning is included with every new pair of glasses purchased along with complimentary glare finish and other benefits. Unfortunately Specsavers have lost my trust after this experience and as it stands today I would not return to Specsavers for further eye testing or purchases. I am very disappointed with the whole sales process and team and would not recommend your service to friends or family given the exploitative nature of your business.

After my appointment I was left in the hands of a team member that was more interested in getting as much money from me as they could. I chose a frame from the get 2nd pair free side although I didn't need a second pair. In the past Specsavers used to give ma reactive lenses in their place as it equates to the same price. This was refused this time but the were still encouraging me to have a second pair. Eventually they offered me £40 discount instead. They then showed me the difference between one varifocal lens and another. Not once informing me of the cost. I refused anti glare and scratch resistance because as a pensioner I was becoming concerned about the cost which I did not know until the end and then informed that they couldn't be ordered until full payment was received! On return and checking their website it states there is a 20% discount for over 60's but not once we're any discounts or offers explained to me.
